Show Home Case Study

The Situation

Interior designers are hand selected to put their touches on different rooms of historic homes in the Baltimore area to support worthy non-profits in the community. The homes are then opened to the public for tours and ticket proceeds are then donated to the charities and organizations.

Show homes are some of my absolutely favorite fundraisers and without fail,  I become totally obsessed with ‘my room’. It’s the perfect opportunity to get crazy creative with only my mind, my ideas, and my budget holding me back!

The Problem

These historic homes were stripped to the bare bones, a totally clean slate to let our imaginations run free.

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of transforming a variety of rooms, including those in the Mayfield Manor in Timonium, MD, Mt. Id in Ellicott City, MD and the Meriwether Farm in Glenwood, MD.

The Solution

Ticket sales for these Show Homes have raised thousands for educational programs of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, as well as supported the preservation and restoration of the Ellicott City Historic District and other historic Howard County properties.
